Resinotype

Resinotype is a rare and captivating photographic process first developed by Rodolfo Namias in 1923. It is grounded in the principle that gelatine, when sensitised with dichromate salts, becomes responsive to ultraviolet light.

What I find most compelling about this process is the opportunity it provides for direct, hands-on manipulation of the image. The result lies somewhere between photography and painting—each piece is wholly unique.

Even when produced in a limited series, no two resinotypes are ever the same. Each work is a singular original, offering collectors a distinctive and unrepeatable expression of the photographic form.
